EFI's stand-alone X1i Ignition System offers
significant advantages over standard magneto systems. EFI's Ignition Systems provide the user with a fully software-programmable spark curve for maximum performance at every engine speed.

The EFI Technology Ignition Multiplexer Unit (IMU) is designed to expand the total number of ignition outputs of any of the EFI ECU products. The IMU connects to a single output on the ECU and can drive up to 8 individual coils directly.

The IMU can drive coils with built in Igniters or standard coils directly without requiring an external Igniter module.

EFI also offers a direct replacement unit for the Lucas ignition box as used on all Cosworth engines.

These units retain the stock wiring and sensors and provide greater performance and reliability.
