Power to Win

USB Drivers

Several different USB drivers are available depending your operating system. The Power To Win install disk will copy the current device drivers during installation to your "C:\Power to Win" directory. Follow the instructions below to complete the installation of your USB drivers.

First time installation

Power up your logger and connect the USB cable to your laptop. When connected and the logger hardware is detected the "Found New Hardware" wizard will open. Follow the instructions to install the driver making sure to point to the "C:\Power to Win" directory when prompted.

To update drivers

Power up your logger and connect the USB cable to your laptop. Follow the instructions below to open the device manager.

  1. Click Start and select the Settings menu.
  2. Click on Control Panel and select the System Icon.
  3. Press the Hardware tab and select Device Manager.
  4. Under the USB controllers list locate the existing EFI Logger device.

    If the EFI logger does not appear in the device list check that the logger is powered up and connected to the USB port. When running under Win XP some peripheral USB devices are known to corrupt older versions of the EFI logger device driver and it may be necessary to uninstall the previous version before proceeding.

  5. Right click and select Update Driver
  6. Follow the instructions to install the new device driver.
